My ggg grandfather was Cobile Asbury Ash or Coleman Asbury Ash.
He was born in Cleveland, GA. He went to Oklahoma sometime between
1900 and 1920. He died there about 1924. His son, William Sherman
Ash b. 1875 in Cleveland, GA died in Okmulgee, OK on Dec. 24, 1953.
William's son, Arley Hershel Ash was born Feb. 27, 1898 and died
in California on Dec. 2, 1983.
I would like to know as much as possible about this family. I've
just begun my search and any advice would be most appreciated.

QUERY: Andrew Jackson Taylor :Born 1860 in Tx. Came to Bryan Co. in 1900 or 1902
brought wife Ella Mae "Miller" and 7 kids to Caney Ok. Had one more child
while in Okla. He owned some type of store. He was robbed and killed and
left on the railroad tracks. Bank told wife not to worry then foreclosed on
her. She lived in a covered wagon for a year by the Red River, till family
came and got her and took her back to Eastland Co. Eastland Tx. We have not
been able to find a grave or any information on this. Any help would be

was the son of William Carroll from Macon County North Carolina. His wife
was Levinia Coleman and they were married Nov 20, 1850. Any information on
this family would be appreciated.

QUERY: I am looking for ANY information of Alexander Bradshaw "Tipton"
McFarland. Also know as 'Fiddling Tip'. Is buried in Silo,OK.
I would look for someone to research at the cemetery and try
to find some dates, parents info. This is my husband's G.G.G.
Grandfather. His wife was Susan Frances Howard and rumor has
it she was 1/2 Cherokee but the family has been unable to prove
it. Alexander & Susan are said to be the first white family
in TI Valley. By the way where is TI Valley or where was it?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

of the EDELEN families who were in Bryan Co OK on the 1910 census.
Benedict Joseph EDELEN b 22 June 1835 KY married 4 Oct 1864 Marion Co
KY to Fedila MANN, she was widow of John W. WRIGHT. They migrated to
TX and then to Indian Terr. before OK statehood. Two of their sons,
Benjamine & Robert and 1 daughter, Sara are found on the 1910 census.
Benjamin F. had dau. Audrey who married Hedley WHITE and a son Bryon.
Robert C. married 'Lou' HIGHTOWER, the had 5 children. Sara M married
Robert M. CITSWELL. I think that Robert 'Bob' and Benjamin had a
store at Bee OK. I have information on the EDELEN back to England and
will be glad to share this information.

Alpha Mae CRAVER who was born in Kenefic, OK in 1914. She died in
Banning CA in 1976 where she had lived for 29 years. Her obituary lists
2 surviving brothers--Gwen J. CRAVER and Wilburn D. CRAVER both of CA.
She was married to Thomas C. DaVAULT who was born in Durant, OK, Bryan

Searching for Decendants of BARKER family. Thomas Suggs Barker b. 1841 in
Byler Toll Gate Residence, Franklin Co., AL d 7 Dec 1912 Married Catherine
(Kitty) Colbert b. 17 Oct 1850 d 25 June 1896 (She is a desendant of Levi
and James Logan Colbert of the Chickasaw Nation)
They had 6 Living Children, Charles Clinton b 1873, Mary Elizabeth, Susan,
Eula, Thomas Milton, and *Minnie Etta Barker b 1885
All of the above "children" were register in the Dawes Act Enrollment I have
their Roll #'s anyway. I know that family members are still located in and
around Durant, OK because that is where the family reunion I attended 7 years
ago was. Would like to contact other members and increase my family tree
list as well as update I only have Grand children of Minnie Etta and
siblings. With not much other info. Other Surnames I have are: FIELDER,
LIVINGSTON, STOWERS, KANE, GANNON, BATES, BROWN, HAWKINS, HASELL, HURST,
MCDONALD, TINSLEY, HAMBY, STURCH, NORRIS (not sure if this is first or last),

miles east of Durant, Bryan County, Indian Terriory about 1880's-1895.

the Kingston area of Oklahoma with wife Ella. He came to Okla from Van
Zandt county Texas and lived there for several years before moving to
