James Aubry Clark

Graveside services for James Aubry Clark of Fort Towson were held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 2, 2004, at Springs Chapel Cemetery in Hugo with Rev. Mutt Wallace officiating.
Mr. Clark died Wednesday, September 29, 2004, in Tulsa. He was 82.
James Clark was born on January 21, 1922 in Messer to James Claudie and Mary Cricket (Brown) Clark. He married Bertha Jane Gribble Clark on February 1, 1950 in DeQueen, Ark. After her death, he married Jewel Dean Clark on July 12, 1979 in Hugo. He had lived in this area most of his life and was a retired lineman for Choctaw Electric Co. in Hugo. He served his country in the United States Army during World War II and was a member of the DAV. He will truly be missed by all that knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Jane Clark; one granddaughter, Haley Antwine; one great-granddaughter, Tori Manley; three sisters, Ruby Crouch, Easter Couch and Francis McClain; one brother, Jesse (Corky) Clark.
James is survived by his wife, Jewel of the home; two sons, Jonathan L. Clark of Powderly, Texas and Aubrey Louis Clark of Allen, Wash.; three step-sons, Larry Murray of Antlers, Lonnie Murray of Atoka, and Ricky Murray of Hugo; two daughters, Erma Antwine of Soper and Antoinette Pollard of Paris, Texas; two step-daughters, Jan Duncan of Antlers and Pam Lininger of Broken Bow; one brother, Joe H. Clark of Bristol, Va.; twenty-four grandchildren, Carra Burrage, Megan Antwine, Jane Clark, James Clark, Winnie Covington, Sarina Pettyjohn, Jamie Pettyjohn, Waunette Griffin, Paula McSpadden, Melissa Pollard, Angela Pollard, Kelee Pollard, Larry Robert Murray, Christy Parson, Rodney Murray, Loni Murray, Ryan Murray, Steven Murray, Stacy Murray, Robin Rogers, Bobbie Joe Davis, Stephanie Duncan, Rondall Gammon and Brittani Gammon; and a number of great-grandchildren.
Services under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home, Hugo.
