Cora Margaret "Crouch" Carter

Funeral services for Cora Margaret "Crouch" Carter of Soper were held at 10 a.m. October 27, 2004, at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Greg Hammock officiating. Interment was in Soper Cemetery.
Mrs. Carter died October 24, 2004, at her home. She was 84. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Soper.
She was born December 30, 1919 in Atlas, Okla., the daughter of Christopher Columbus Johnson and Eva (Mann) Johnson and had lived most of her life in Soper. She was a homemaker who loved to cook and made the best homemade yeast rolls. She loved spending time with her family and friends, and will be missed by all who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her long time husband, Russie Crouch, on October 6, 2000. She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Bob Crouch; two brothers, Ben Johnson and James Johnson; and one grandson, Robert "Bob" Conway.
Surviving relatives: One son, Coleman Crouch of Dallas; two daughters, Dorothy Haskins and Betty Conway, both of Soper; nine grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren.
