Genny Estes

     Genny Estes, age 83, of Plano, Texas passed away October 23, 2004, at Plano Medical Center. Mrs. Estes was born December 19, 1920 in Oklahoma to Thomas and Julia (Easterling) Inman. On August 22, 1947, she married Robert Edward Estes in Amarillo, Texas. She attended Oklahoma A&M in Stillwater, Oklahoma. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church in Plano, where she was also a member of the United Methodist Women. She was active in the Senior Citizen Center of Plano and an avid sports enthusiast. Mrs. Estes was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
     She is survived by her daughters: Kathy Johnstone of Plano, Mary Ka Cotter, Karen Estes and Betty Johnson all of Dallas; grandchildren: Robert Brandon Cotter and Leslie Cotter McCabe both of Dallas and Walter Estes Johnstone of Plano, great grandchildren, Shaw Cotter, Madelynn Cotter, Ella Kate Cotter, Cole McCabe, Grayson McCabe, and Weston McCabe.
Her husband, 3 sisters and 1 brother preceded her in death.
     A memorial service was held at 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 26, 2004, in the First United Methodist Church in Plano with Rev. Gary Mueller officiating. A graveside service will be held Sunday, November 7, 2004 at 2:00 P.M. at the Castro Memorial Cemetery in Dimmitt, Texas.
