Funeral services for Carrie Ann Hicks of Hugo were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 11, 2005 at First Assembly of God Church in Hugo with Reverend Jerry Cooper officiating. Interment was in Goodland Cemetery.

Mrs. Hicks died Saturday, October 8, 2005, in Paris, Texas. She was 52.

Carrie Ann Hicks was born on March 4, 1953 in South Port, North Carolina. She was the daughter of Bobby J. Brown and Betty Jo Brown. Carrie married James Edward Hicks on April 13, 1974 in Denison, Texas. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her grandmother, Rose Ann Brown and her mother, Betty Jo Brown. She is survived by her husband, James Hicks of Hugo; one son, James (Jim) Calvin Hicks of Hugo; one daughter, Arlene Renae (Hicks) and husband Kyle Tribble of Huntsville, Texas; father and step-mother Bobby J. and Darlene Brown; father-in-law and Mother-in-law Calvin and Dorothy Hicks; one brother James D. Brown and wife Layla of Denison, Texas; two sisters, Marie Hall and husband Ronnie of Longview, Texas, and Roni Davis and husband Rick of Denison, Texas.

The family received friends Monday, October 10, 2005, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo.
