“C.C.” Carl Calhoun Johnson

Funeral services for “C.C.” Carl Calhoun Johnson of Valliant were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, September 10, 2005, at Valliant Assembly of God with Bro. Troy Ruffin officiating, assisted by Bro. Mike Mings. Interment was in Forest Hill Cemetery in Garvin.

Mr. Johnson died September 6, 2005, at South Padre Island, Texas. He was 35. He was a machine operator. He worked at Weyerhaeuser in Valliant for 12 years. He was an Airman in the U.S. Air Force and served in Desert Storm. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Valliant, and the VFW.

C.C. was born November 27, 1969 in Idabel, the son of Walter and Carol (Whitten) Johnson. He lived in the Valliant area most of his life. He was an Emergency First Responder for Weyerhaeuser; he trained for the “Red Horse” division and was a member of the “Prime Beef” division of the U.S. Air Force. He loved operating equipment, riding horses, and taking care of other people. He loved his family and friends, especially his sons. He was preceded in death by, his grandparents; Carl Calhoun and Sarah Johnson, and Charlie and Opal Whitten.

SURVIVING RELATIVES: two sons; Lyndon Johnson and Payton Guest of Valliant, his parents; Walter and Carol Johnson of Valliant, three brothers; Craig Johnson of Garvin, Charles “Buddy Boy” Johnson of Millerton, and Walt Johnson of Valliant, three sisters; Calista Stephens of Belleview, Fla., Charla Kay Hamrick of Valliant, Charlotte Arbuthnot of Charlottesville, Texas, 13 nieces and nephews, 5 great nieces and nephews along with many other cousins and friends.
