Barney Covington

     Funeral services for Barney Covington of Hugo were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2004 at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey chapel. Interment was in Springs Chapel Cemetery in Hugo.
     Mr. Covington died Wednesday, August 25, 2004, in Hugo. He was 51.
     Barney was born on February 25, 1953 in Hugo to Floyd and Jewel (Dover) Covington. He had lived in this area all of his life. Barney was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Juanita Ables.
     He is survived by a son, James Covington of Forrest City, Ark.; a daughter, Gale Covington; four brothers, Elvin Covington of Frogville, Jerry Covington of Fort Towson, Leo and Charles Covington, both of Hugo; four sisters, Ruth Jones and Lucille Frost, both of Hugo, Virgie Henderson of Oklahoma City, Mary Eskridge of Edmond; one grandchild.
