     Funeral services for Emma Roden of Hugo were held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, August 28, 2004, at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Raymond Humphrey officiating. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo.
     Mrs. Roden died August 24, 2004, at Choctaw Memorial Hospital. She was 75. She was a housewife, a member of the Rebecca Club and was of the Baptist faith.
     She was born June 29, 1929, the daughter of James Moncrief and Cora Mae (Brownfield) Moncrief and had lived all of her life in this area. She was preceded in death by her parents and several brothers and sisters.
     Surviving relatives: Her longtime husband and forever friend Robert Randolph "Randy" Roden of Hugo, Okla.; four sons, Robert Roden of Grant, Okla., Joe Roden of Hugo, Okla., Billy Roden of Daingerfield, Texas, and Luther Roden of Apple, Okla.; five daughters, Margie Walker and Wanda Moore, both of Hugo, Okla., Judy Heady of Apple, Okla., Linda Logan of Allen, Texas, and Ruthie Horton of Swink, Okla.; one brother, Jesse Moncrief of Hugo; 22 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and two special friends, Charlie Nease and Marie Goree.
