Willie "Bud" Cannon

Graveside services for Willie "Bud" Cannon of Fort Towson were held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 10, 2004, at Rowlett Cemetery in Plano, Texas, with Zelpha Boyd and Sharon Haney officiating.
Mr. Cannon died September 8, 2004, at Choctaw Memorial Hospital in Hugo. He was 91. He had worked most of his life as a farmer but had also worked as custodian for the Plano-Richardson Independent School District for 14 years. He was of the Pentecostal faith.
Mr. Cannon was born January 8, 1913 in McKinney, Texas, the son of Willie Albert Cannon and Arie Milda (Simpson) Cannon and had lived in Ft. Towson since 1990, moving there from McKinney, Texas, where he lived most of his life. He married Juanita Perry on April 3, 1971. His parents preceded him in death, as well as two sons, Victor Keith Cannon and Tracy Cannon, a brother, James Albert Cannon, and his first wife, Minnie Lee Bristow Cannon.
Surviving relatives: His wife, Juanita Cannon; four sons, Thomas Cannon of Murphy, Texas, Roy Cannon of Plano, Texas, Monroe Cannon of Celina, Texas, and Rick Cannon of Irving, Texas; two daughters, Willie Lee Green of Sanger, Texas, and Elaine Ratliff of Justin, Texas; four sisters, Clara Bristow of Frisco, Texas, Louise White of Altoga, Texas, Estalena Stephens of Virginia and Mae McEuen of Murphy, Texas; 18 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.
