James Henry Robinson

     Funeral services for James Henry Robinson of Boswell were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2004 at Victory Life Church in Boswell, with Bro. James H. Robinson, Jr., officiating. Interment was at Restland Cemetery in Boswell. Pallbearers were John Andrews, Clyde Andrews, Steve Andrews, Bill Smith, Bennett Conditt and Loren Arbuckle. VFW Post 1048 and American Legion 119 performed military rites at the cemetery.
     Mr. Robinson died Monday, September 6, 2004, at Medical Center of Southeast Oklahoma in Durant. He was 69.
     Mr. Robinson was born on Sunday, July 21, 1935, at Mayhew, Oklahoma, to Joseph Herman Robinson and Belvia Payte. He married Mary Ruth Andrews on August 31, 1957 in Bennington. James was an equipment trader and farmer/rancher all of his life. He enjoyed trading, tending to his cattle and his land development. He proudly served our nation in the United States Marine Corps. He was preceded in death by his parents.
     Surviving relatives: Wife, Mary Ruth (Andrews) Robinson of Boswell; son, James Henry Robinson, Jr., & wife Donna of Boswell, daughter Rhonda Sue Blankenship & husband William of Boswell, son Joe David Robinson of Banty; grandson James Aaron Robinson of Boswell, granddaughters Amy Rene Robinson of Durant, Lora Lea Robinson of Boswell, Emily Grace Robinson of Boswell, Angela Sue Blankenship of Boswell, Leigh Anne Blankenship of Boswell, Sarah Ruth Blankenship of Boswell; great granddaughter, Lilly Jo Blankenship of Boswell; brother, John and wife Lavina Robinson of Silsbee, Texas; sister, Helen Pitts of Durant and Martha and husband Loren Arbuckle of Conroe, Texas; numerous nieces and nephews.
