Homer Harris, Retired Postal Employee, Dead

Homer T. Harris, 55, died at his home, 708 West Duke this morning at 6:30 o’clock following a stroke which he suffered November 21.
Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday morning at 10 o’clock at the Nazaren Church by the Rev. L.L. Weaver. Interment will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery with Coffey-Baker Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Carl Hansen, Willard Blair, George Smith, Clyde Taylor, R.J. Howse and Charles Switzer.
Mr. Harris was born May 21, 1884 in Silver Creek, Tennessee. He came to Hugo about 30 years ago from Lewisville, Tennessee and for several years he was in the employ of the Fred Harvey news Agency. He entered the services of the local post office as carrier 25 years ago but was retired two years ago on account of long service and ill health.
He is survived by his wife, two sons and one daughter. The sons are Ed Harris, Hugo and Paul Harris of Tyler, Texas and the daughter is Mary Elizabeth Breathwit of Hugo. One granddaughter, Paula Glen Harris, also survives.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church but for many years had been attending the Nazarene Church [remaining article missing]
Harris Services Held This Morning

Funeral services for Homer T. Harris, 55 year old retired postal employee, were held this morning at the Nazarene church, with burial at Mount Olivet cemetery.
Rev. L.L. Weaver officiated, with funeral arrangements under direction of Coffey-Baker funeral home.
Those from out of town who attended the funeral included Rev. and Mrs. M.R. Archer, Antlers; Mr. and Mrs. W.A. Perry, Paris, Texas; Mrs. Clarence Sperry, Paris; Mrs. Celeste Presson [?], Wewoka; Mrs. W.B. Albright, Paris; Rev. and Mrs. Henry, Idabel; and Mrs. L.C. Messer, Antlers.
