Funeral services for Harold Koch of Valliant were held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 21, 2004 at First Assembly of God Church in Wright City with Rev. Scotty Stuart officiating. Interment was in McPherson City Cemetery in McPherson, Kansas.
Mr. Koch died September 18, 2004, at Tulsa Regional Medical Center. He was 66. He was a truck driver and a veteran of the Korean War, serving in the U.S. Army. He was affiliated with the First Assembly of God Church in Wright City and was a member of the VFW.
He was born May 12, 1938 in Blackwell, Okla., the son of Ernest and Ann (Krouse) Koch and had lived in Valliant for the past year and a half. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Aaron Beck.
Surviving relatives: His wife, Patricia Koch; two sons, Gary Koch of Wildomar, Calif. and Larry Koch of Gossell, Kansas; one stepson, Wayne Beck of Valliant; two daughters, Marry Hill of Framingham, Mass. and Sherry Boese of Gossell, Kansas; one stepdaughter, Billie Beck of Valliant; four brothers, Jake Koch of Alabama, Leo Koch of North Carolina, Vern Koch of Kansas and Glen Koch of Kansas; one sister, Doris "Sis" Cherry of Kansas; nine grandchildren; one great granddaughter.
