Daisy Ellen Odiorne

     Daisy Ellen Odiorne of Antlers took her final journey to be with the Lord on September 11, 2004 at the age of 82 years and 9 months.
     Services were held Tuesday, September 14, 2004 at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church in Antlers with the Reverends Ben Hotubbee and Ansel Simmons officiating. Interment followed at Antlers City Cemetery with Ed Butler, Don Guthrie, G. Lloyd Guthrie, Jimmy L. Guthrie, Bradley Prillwitz and John Rogers serving as Pallbearers.
     Daisy was born at Mudsand Route north of Soper in Choctaw County on December 11, 1921 where she lived for nineteen years. She married Norman Odiorne on May 15, 1942 and after World War II, they settled in Berrien Center, Michigan where they lived for thirty-three years. In May, 1983 they retired and moved to Antlers where they have lived for the last twenty-one years.
     Daisy was a member of the First Baptist Church in Antlers. She was a former member of the local chapter of AARP, Pushmataha Historical Society and Genealogy Society of SW Michigan.
     In her early days she enjoyed family get-togethers, gardening and genealogy. Daisy was proud of her accomplishments in the area of family genealogy and research. She served for fifteen years as the corresponding secretary to the Odiorne Genealogy Book Committee and was instrumental in the publishing of a family genealogy book for the Odiorne family. Later in life, she enjoyed dominoes and she and Norman won many trophies. Daisy was a volunteer for the Antlers Nutrition Center for many years.
Daisy is survived by her husband of sixty-two years, Norman Odiorne of Antlers; daughters Kay Prillwitz and husband Larry of Hugo, Pat Bishop and husband Stan of Berrien Center, Michigan and Norma Krumrie and husband Ed of Bridgman, Michigan; brother Jim Guthrie of Norman; sister Lillie Bell (Guthrie) Simpson of Lockford, California; grandchildren Michelle Landuit, Lisa Witters, Brad Prillwitz, Debbie Rogers, Chris Krumrie and Holly Dyess; great-grandchildren Travis Landuit, Lauren Landuit, Emily Witters, Alayna Witters, Nick Rogers, Josh Rogers and Devin Dyess; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends. Daisy was preceded in death by her parents Colonel Elmer Guthrie and Lillie Isabella (Ainsworth) Guthrie, brothers John Guthrie, Stillwell Guthrie and Stanley Guthrie, and sisters Julia (Guthrie) Fennell and Ruby (Guthrie) Freels.
