Delza Evelyn Pate

     Funeral services for Delza Evelyn Pate of Soper will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 23, 2004, at First Baptist Church in Soper with Rev. Greg Hammack officiating. Interment will follow in Restland Cemetery in Boswell.
     Mrs. Pate died Monday, September 20, 2004, in Hugo. She was 82.
     Delza E. Pate was born on March 14, 1922 in Virgil to John Foster and Louise (Shoemake) King). She had lived in this area most of her life. She married Dewitt Pate in Hugo on December 9, 1939. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Dewitt Pate; two sisters, Essie Higginbotham and Ethyl Upton, and two brothers, Willis King and Willard King.
     Delza is survived by one brother, Wilbur R. King and wife Catherine of Soper, and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
     The family will receive friends Wednesday, September 22, 2004 at the funeral home chapel from 6-7 p.m.
