Ralph Loftin

Funeral services for Ralph Loftin, 93, of Hugo were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 27, 2005, in Bill Darrough Pavilion at Mt. Olivet Cemetery, with Rev. Doug McClure officiating. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.

Ralph Avery Loftin was born on December 12, 1911 in Hugo and died August 23, 2005.

His parents were Whitson Lee and Neva (Phillips) Loftin. Ralph graduated from Hugo High School in 1930. He was employed by the Ft. Worth Schools until his retirement in 1977. Following his retirement, he returned to Hugo. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hugo. Ralph was married to Allyne Ferrier in 1933. They had two sons, Stephen and Larry. Ralph had seven brothers and three sisters: Hubert, Theron, Lee Jr., Warren, Fletcher, Carroll, and Dean, Eva, May and Ruby, who all preceded him in death. His parents, first wife and both sons also preceded him in death.

Ralph is survived by six grandchildren, Christa, Lisa, Stephen, Cathy, Sunny, Phillip and their mothers Pat, Sherrie and Helga Loftin, several great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He also is survived by wife, Edna Montgomery Loftin, who married in 1991, her son Roy and wife Janet and their children and grandchildren.
