Christopher Columbus Ervin
C.C. Ervin Buried At Province Friday

C.C. Ervin, whose death at Ardmore was recorded in last week’s issue, was buried at Province, near Ardmore, Friday afternoon, following funeral services at Harvey Bros. Chapel at Ardmore.
Christopher Columbus Ervin was 83 years of age and was born in Oklahoma, where he spent all of his life. For many years he was a farmer living near Soper. He moved to Ardmore about 15 years ago.
Besides his wife he is survived by three daughters and seven sons, as follows: Mrs. Hattie Green, Tulsa; Mrs. Myrtle Page, Soper; Mrs. Pauline Hewett, Dallas; J.E.; Woodford, W.P., Emmit, M.H. and A.A. of Ardmore; L.T. and Roy, Albuquerque, N.M.; Also a half-sister, Mrs. Viola Tillman, Hugo, and two sisters, Mrs. T.E. Oakes Soper and Mrs. Emma Christian, Hartshorne.
Mr. Ervin was one of the early settlers of this section and is remembered by all of the old timers. He was a soldier in the army during the Civil War.
