Maude Ferguson

Mrs. W.E. Ferguson Died This Morning
The Soper Democrat – October 18, 1945

Mrs. W.E. Ferguson died at the Sanitarium of Paris this morning at 1:30 o’clock, following a short illness.

Funeral service will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the First Methodist Church, Hugo, conducted by the pastor, the Rev. C.W. Lester, and burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery there.

Mrs. Ferguson, the former Miss Maude Elizabeth Blackwood, was born at Cleburne, Texas, Nov. 23, 1879, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. G.T. Blackwood.

She had made her home in and near Soper for nearly 40 years.

The survivors are her husband and these children: Glenn Ferguson, Shawnee; Lester Ferguson and Wayne Ferguson, Soper; Pvt. Escol Ferguson, now in the South Pacific; Mrs. Virginia Guttery, Hugo; Mrs. Mary Rogers, McAlester; and Mrs. Pricilla Simpson, Crockett, Texas; these brothers and sisters: Cliff Blackwood, Lynn Blackwood, Walter Blackwood, Mrs. Nora Price and Mrs. Lillie Akin, all of Frederick, Okla., and Mrs. Rosa Hartsell, Bridgeport, Texas.
