C.W. Lee Died Sunday Morning

Carl W. Lee, aged 75 years, died at the family home four miles West of Soper, Sunday morning about 10 o’clock. Funeral services were held at the home, Monday morning at 10 o’clock, conducted by Rev. Jess Middleton, followed by burial in the Soper Cemtery [sic].

Death came peacefully to Mr. Lee after eight years of suffering. Following an attack of pneumonia eight years ago Mr. Lee suffered a stroke, and has been helpless ever since. Last week he suffered another stroke which caused his death Sunday.

Mr. Lee had lived in this section for about 25 years, coming here from Marshall County, Okla. Besides his wife he is survived by ten children, as follows: Edd., William, Jesse, Gaylord, Archie, Paul and Buel: Mrs. Pearl Harless, Mrs. Sylvia Cochnauer, and Mrs. Catherine Frazier.
