Mrs. Clora Singleton Died Saturday
The Soper Democrat – January 2, 1947

Mrs. Clora C. Singleton, aged 68 years, died suddenly at the home of her daughter, Mrs. W.M. Marshall, Saturday morning. Death was attributed to a heart attack. She was ill only about an hour.
Funeral services were held at the Soper Church of Christ Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, conducted by Elder Leon Savage, of Hugo. Burial was in the Soper Cemetery.
Pallbearers were: Dee Edge, R.W. Nelson, C.T. Merida, H.L. Routon, Fred Maloney and Wiley Hammock.
Mrs. Singleton had lived in Soper and community for over 50 years, and was said to be one of the few remaining here since the town was founded in 1902. She was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Casey.
Survivors are a daughter, Mrs. Mary Marshall, of Soper and a son, Morris Singleton, of Soper.
