Hendrix of Seligman, Mo., were held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 27, 2004, in First Assembly of God Church, Cassville, Mo. Burial with military honors was in King Cemetery, Seligman, Mo. Mr. Hendrix died Saturday, January 24, 2004, at his home. He was 65. He was born July 4, 1938, in Kent, Okla., the son of Earl H. and Anice Captola (Mitchell) Hendrix. On June 8, 1963, he was united in marriage to Darlene Brannan. he grew up in Oklahoma and served in the U.S. Army. He worked for the Tulsa Boys Home for 17 years and was a foster parent for 20 years. After moving to Seligman, he was a security guard at TysonŐs from 1992 to 2002. He umpired softball games and was a member of the Green County (Mo.) Softball Association. He was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Cassville, Mo. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, and one sister. Surviving relatives: wife, Darlene Brannan; son, Tommy Allen of Tulsa; daughter, Dorinda Kay Vincent of Cassville, Mo.; three brothers, Earl Eugene Hendrix, Joe Hendrix, both of Hugo, and LeRoy Hendrix of Canton, Texas; three sisters, Earlene Holland of Dallas, Mattie Rae Milam of Oceanside, Calif., Margie Ellen Vanworth of Bayrd, N.M.; four grandchildren.
