Geneva Adkins

Graveside services for Geneva Adkins of Ada, formerly of Hugo, were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005, at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo with Euel Bowen officiating. Mrs. Adkins died Monday, June 11, 2005, in Ada. She was 77.

Geneva Marie Adkins was born on November 25, 1927 in Marlow, Okla., to Wallace and Daisy (Hilliard) Owen. She married Donald Ray Adkins on May 9, 1944 in Marlow. She had lived in this area for the past 30 years before moving to Ada. She was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Idabel. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one granddaughter, one sister and one brother.

Geneva is survived by two daughters, Vickie Hendrix of Hugo and Donna Young of Ada; three brothers, Neal Owen of Marlow, Boyd Owen of Olympia, Wash., and Marvin Owen of Trinity, Texas; one sister, Vera Millican of Marlow; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
