Graveside services for Patsy Carnes of Hugo will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2005 at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo.

Mrs. Carnes died Sunday, June 10, 2005, in Hugo. She was 76.Patsy Jean Meador Carnes was born on January 7, 1929 in Dallas, Texas, to Ray Dewitt and Ruby Melissa (Huskey) Meador. She married Clinton Eugene Carnes on December 19, 1951 in Denton, Texas. She had lived in this area for the past four and a half years after moving here from Glen Rose, Texas. She was a homemaker and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Clinton Carnes in 1987.

She is survived by three daughters, Paytra Carnes of Hugo, Jeannie Bradley of Powderly, Texas, and Leighan Beal of Chicota, Texas; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

The family received friends Tuesday, July 12, 2005 from 6-7 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo.
