Funeral services for Edgar P. Loman of Grant were held at 2 p.m. Friday, June 10, 2005, at Grant Baptist Church in Grant with Rev. Otis Cayton officiating. Interment was in Grant Cemetery.
Mr. Loman died Tuesday, June 7, 2005, in Paris, Texas. He was 84.Edgar P. Loman was born on January 26, 1921 in Grant to Willie T. Loman and Blanch (Davidson) Loman. Edgar was of the Baptist faith and loved his family dearly. The one thing that he enjoyed most was spending time with his family. He was retired from Campbell Soup and was also a farmer. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his father Willie; two wives, Beulah Loman and Geraldine Loman; and one sister, Opal Lee Grimes.
He is survived by his mother Blanch Loman; two daughters, Donna Blackwood of Grant and Opal Brown of Paris, Texas; one brother, Don Loman of Grant; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
The family received friends Thursday, June 9, 2005, at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo.
