Edwin Billy

    Funeral services for Edwin Billy of Sobol were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 4, 2005 at Sobol Baptist Church Auditorium with Rev. Lester Tims officiating. Interment was in Goodwater Cemetery.

    Mr. Billy died June 1, 2005, in Tulsa. He was 64. He was an equipment operator and a member of Goodwater Methodist Church.

    He was born March 21, 1941 in Corrine, the son of Wesley Billy and Nellie (Charley) Billy and had lived most of his life in the Sobol community. He married Nadine Samuel on August 30, 1961 in Rufe. He loved to hunt, fish, play softball and baseball. He also enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Byington Billy.

    SURVIVING RELATIVES: his wife, Nadine Billy of the home; two sons, Kevin Billy of Rattan and Don Billy of Antlers; one daughter, Debra Wesley of Sobol; two brothers, Solomon Billy of Rattan, Junior Billy of Sobol; three sisters, Delores Taylor, Hazel Taylor, and Versa Crow all of Sobol; five grandchildren and one great grandchild.

    Family received friends, Friday, June 3, 2005 from 6-7 p.m. at the funeral home.
