    Funeral services for Steven Wayne Hamby were held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 27, 2005, at First Baptist Church in Hugo with Reverend Shawn Robertson and Reverend Doug McClure officiating. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo.

    Mr. Hamby died Wednesday, May 24, 2005, in Hugo. He was 41.Steven Wayne Hamby was born on November 14, 1963 in Hugo to Bobby Wayne and Edna Mae (Moore) Hamby. He had lived in this area all of his life and was a truck driver and a construction worker. Steven loved working with his cows and loved the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bobby Wayne Hamby and Edna Mae Hamby. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.

    He is survived by his loving mate, Margaret Johnson of the home; he is also survived by Jay Wright and wife Amber of Swink, Toby Johnson of Hugo and Becky Byrd and children, Lindsey Moore and Aaron Byrd, all of Hugo; one brother, Jeff Hamby and wife, Susan Hamby of Hugo; one sister, Susan Dawn Hamby of Grant; one nephew, Shannon Hamby and wife Kelly of Omaha, Texas; and a number of friends.

    The family received friends Thursday, May 26, 2005, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo.
