Geneva Toliver

    Funeral services for Geneva Toliver of Denton, Texas, formerly of Hugo, were held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 2, 2005, at Oak Grove Baptist Church in Hugo with Reverend Otis Cayton officiating. Interment was at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo.

    Mrs. Toliver died Monday, May 30, 2005 in Denton, Texas. She was 65.

    Geneva Toliver was born on June 27, 1939 north of Swink, Okla., to Carl and Cora Lee (Long) Walkup. She married Charles B. Toliver on December 12, 1959 in Hugo, Okla., at Reverend McFarland's home. She had lived in this area for the past fifty years after moving here from Swink, Okla. Geneva worked in sales and was a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church for many years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Toliver on November 30, 1996 and one sister.

    Geneva is survived by her two daughters, Carol Chegwidden and husband Dale of Sanger, Texas, and Sharon Cornelius and husband, Bill of Denton, Texas; two brothers and seven sisters; six grandchildren, Cassidy Chegwidden of Sanger, Texas, Jessica Babcock of Denton, Texas, Caitlin Chegwidden of Sanger, Texas, Corie Chegwidden of Sanger, Texas, Kenzie Cornelius and Charles Cornelius both of Denton, Texas.

    The family received friends Wednesday, June 1, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo, Okla.
