Katherine Patterson

    Funeral services for Katherine Patterson of Valliant will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2005, at First United Methodist Church in Valliant with pastor Dan Fletcher officiating. Interment will be in Valliant Cemetery.
    Mrs. Patterson died March 28, 2005, in Paris, Texas. She was 73. She was Executive Secretary for Weyerhaeuser in Valliant, Wright City, and Hot Springs, Ark., and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Valliant.
    She was born February 8, 1932 in Natchez, Miss., the daughter of Tommy Felter and Marion (Floyd) Felter and had lived in Valliant since 1975. She married George Patterson on May 28, 1951. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a brother: Thomas Felter. Mrs. Patterson was a wonderful mother. She loved fishing, cooking, watching football, gardening flowers, and enjoyed all aspects of life.
    SURVIVING RELATIVES: two sons: Glenn Patterson and Alan Patterson, both of Valliant; two daughters: Lisa Cody of Valliant and Lola Harbour of Huntington, W. Va.; one sister: Gail Watkins of Tupelo, Miss.; three brothers: Gerald Cavin of Centerville, Miss., Michael Cavin of Hattiesburg, Miss. and Joe Cavin of Centerville, Miss.; nine grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
    The family will receive friends from 6:00-7:00 PM Wednesday, March 30, 2005 at the funeral home.
