Bennie Floyd

    Funeral services for Bennie Floyd of Boswell will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 12, 2005, at Boswell Church of Christ with Bro. Gerald Kahlden and Bro. Hank Anderson officiating. Interment will follow at Restland Cemetery in Boswell.

    Mrs. Floyd died May 9, 2005, in Paris, Texas. She was 64.She was born February 24, 1941 to N.B. and Ruth (Holmes) Foreman. She grew up in Boswell and attended Boswell public schools. She married E.B. St. John in 1958 and had three children, Teddy Dwayne, Edward Ben and Angela. She later remarried to Harvey Joe Floyd on June 3, 1978 in Oklahoma City. Both Bennie and Harvey made careers working for the Edmond Public School System. They moved back to Boswell in 1990, where they have resided in the home built by her father. She was a long time member of the Boswell Church of Christ and an active participant in the annual Boswell All-School Reunion. Bennie had been employed at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Boswell since it opened. She will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her. Her parents preceded her in death.

    Bennie is survived by her husband, Harvey Floyd of the home; two sons, Teddy Dwayne Floyd and Edward Ben Floyd, both of Oklahoma City; one daughter, Angela St. John of McKinney, Texas; four step-children, Alica McCann, Joe David Floyd, Stanley Floyd and George Floyd; her brother Philip Holmes Foreman of Garland, Texas; her sister Martha Ann Cole of Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, seven step-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

    The family will receive friends Wednesday, May 11, 2005, from 4-6 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo.
