Floyd "Kitten" Herman

Funeral services for Floyd "Kitten" Herman of Soper were held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 14, 2005, at Soper High School Gymnasium in Soper with Rev. Blake Gideon, Rev. Tim Harless and Rev. George Cordoza officiating. Interment was in Sugar Creek Cemetery in Soper.
Mr. Herman died Thursday, May 12, 2005, in Tulsa. He was 57.Floyd "Kitten" Herman was born on September 19, 1947 in Soper to Douglas M. and Agnus (Smith) Herman. He married Barbara Tate on January 24, 1969 in Soper. He had lived in this area all of his life and was a member of the Archey Baptist Church. He was a rancher and owned the sale barn in Antlers. He loved his family very much and he will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. He was preceded in death by his mother, Agnus Herman; his mother-in-law Lillie Mae Tate; and one brother-in-law, Michael Tate.
He is survived by his wife Barbara of the home; two sons, Tracy Van Herman and Douglas Trey Herman, both of Soper; one daughter, Vanessa Jo Herman of Soper; his father, Douglas Herman of Soper; one brother, Martin Earl Herman of Hugo; three sisters, Louise Fuller and Norma Carter, both of Soper, and Ramona Waugh of Catoosa; three grandchildren.
