    Funeral services for Gary "Mickey" Jones Sr. of Temple, Texas, were held at 10:00 a.m. Monday, May 16, 2005, at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo with Reverend Mike Bryant officiating. Interment was in Grant Cemetery in Grant.

    Mr. Jones died Friday, May 13, 2005, in Temple, Texas. He was 54.Gary "Mickey" Jones Sr. was born on January 20, 1951 in Houston, Texas to Walter J. Jones and Naomi (Thompson) Stovall. Gary was of the Baptist faith and loved his family dearly. The one thing that he enjoyed most was spending time with his family. His occupation was a machinist and he was employed by Texas Hydraulics. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Gary will be laid to rest by his son, Michael. He was preceded in death by his mother, Naomi Stovall, who passed away January 19, 2005; one brother, Larry Jones; and one son, Gary Michael Jones, Jr., who passed away on May 28, 1992.He is survived by one son, Kevin Jones of Houston, Texas, and one step-son, Jimmy Cochran of Hugo; one daughter, Kathy Burchfield and husband Mike of Ft. Towson; one brother, Chris Gilmore of Hugo; six grandchildren, Alan Roden of Ft. Towson, Jacob Teague, Stacey Jones, Gary Michael Jones III, all of Hugo, Kevin Michael Jones, and Jessica Jones of Houston; one aunt, Ethel Cox and husband Herald of Hubbard, Texas; one uncle, Norris Thompson and wife Edna of Hugo; special companion, Letha Jones of Hugo; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of friends.

    The family received friends Sunday, May 15, 2005 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo.
