Virginia Mae (Michael) Watson

A service for Virginia Mae (Michael) Watson, 76, of Boswell, Okla., who passed away May 1, 2005 at Texoma Medical Center in Denison, Texas, was held Wednesday, May 4, 2005 at 11 a.m. at the Victory Life Church in Boswell. The Rev. Fred Waldrep officiated.
Virginia was born on September 9, 1928 in Sarasota, Fla., to James Earl Michael and Lillie Mae Kerns. She attended school in Sarasota and graduated in 1946 with honors and then attended Florida Southern College. Virigina married William R. "Bill" Watson on October 15, 1956 in Tampa, Fla., and came to Oklahoma in 1974 from Memphis, Tenn. She worked many places doing many different things from being a model to a stewardess. Virginia was also the founder of the Boswell Public Library among her numerous achievements in life, she would work and volunteer on anything whenever she had the opportunity. One of her greatest achievements of all was being a homemaker taking care of her husband, daughter, and grandchildren. Virginia was also of the Southern Baptist Faith. She did many things in her life for many different people, and most of all for her family. Everyone appreciated her very much. Virginia will be greatly missed by many.
She is preceded in death by her parents J.E. and Lillie Michael; husband William "Bill" Watson; sister Lilly Alderman; sister-in-law Irene Michael; grandson Travis Taylor Oxford; and her father-in-law Harold Watson.
Virginia is survived by her daughter Robin Lynn Watson of the home; granddaughters Virginia Dale Eastwood and Sierra Sage "Buddie" Watson both of the home; mother-in-law Teresa Watson "Nana" of McAlester, Okla.; brothers Charles Michael and wife Theresa, and D.J. Michael both of Sarasota, Fla.; brother-in-law Louis Alderman of Sarasota, Fla.; nephew Lee Alderman and family; niece Linda Scheller and family of Ocoee, Fla.; 3 great nephews and 2 great nieces; special friends Wilma Ingram and family; Teresa Burns and family; Clint and Melissa Erwin and their families; Martha Wade; and all her special bingo friends; numerous other relatives and a very large host of dear friends.
Interment will be in Restland Cemetery in Boswell, Okla. next to her husband William.
Visitation was from 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Boswell.
Brown's Funeral Service is handling the arrangements.
