Funeral services for Georgiana Ferguson of Soper were held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 7, 2005 at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Chapel in Hugo with Brother Michael Grigsby officiating. Interment was in Soper Cemetery.

Mrs. Ferguson died Saturday, November 5, 2005, in Hugo. She was 74.Georgiana Ferguson was born on July 4, 1931 in Soper to George Alonzo and Mary Beatrice (Holt) Ferguson. She had lived in this area all her life. Her occupation was teaching all of her nieces and nephews “everything they know,” making gifts for her entire family and playing bingo. Georgiana’s family will miss her greatly. She was a member of the Church of Christ in Soper. She is preceded in death by her father, George Alonzo Ferguson in 2005; her brother, Kenneth Ferguson in 1997, two nephews, Matias Ferguson Espinosa in 1996 and Taylor Holt Lester in 2002, and one niece, Donna Dominick in 2002. Georgiana loved her family and leaves behind her mother, Mary Ferguson of Soper; her sisters, Judy Lester and her husband Delbert and Barbara Dominick, all of Soper; her sister-in-law Vera Ferguson of Dallas, Texas; nephews, Jim Dominick, Carey Lester, Marty Lester and Shannon Lester, all of Soper, and Kenny Ferguson of Dallas, Texas; nieces, Dayna Dominick of Soper and Debbie Espinosa of Dallas, Texas; her great nieces and nephews, Amy Dominick Padgett and husband Clay of Germany, Leslie Dominick of Shawnee, Stephanie Espinosa of Dallas, Texas, Ted Richards, III, of Paris, Texas, George Richards of Soper, Brittani, Dakota and Tanner Lester of Antlers and Merissa, Jamee and Treyton Lester all of Soper.
