Marleen Helton

Funeral services for Marleen Helton of Fort Towson were held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2005 at First Baptist Church in Fort Towson with Reverend Robert Haynes officiating. Interment was in Fort Towson Cemetery.
Mrs. Helton died Monday, October 31, 2005 in Hugo. She was 62.Marleen Helton was born on September 4, 1943 in Tulsa, to Otis Marvin and Myrtle G. (Collins) Long. She had lived in this area since 1970 and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Marietta. She retired as an Administrative Assistant to the Vice President of Weyerhaeuser. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the Fort Towson School Board and served on numerous civic and community boards in Hot Springs, Ark. She will be greatly missed. She is preceded in death by her father, Otis Long, grandparents, Claude & Lillie Collins and Otis & Nettie Long.
Marlene is survived by her son, Allen Helton, Jr., of Beebe, Ark.; her mother, Myrtle Collins Goodman of Fort Towson; one grandson, Gage Allen Helton of Beebe, Ark.; two uncles, Robert & Virginia Collins and Charles & Shirley Collins, both of Fort Towson; one great-aunt, Mrs. Faye Moore of Williams Lake, B.C., Canada; and a host of aunts, cousins and friends.
