John R. Logan

Funeral services for John R. Logan of Hugo will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, November 9, 2005, at Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo with Dean Stewart officiating. Interment will be in Springs Chapel Cemetery. Mr. Logan died November 4, 2005, in Arlington, Texas. He was 74. He was an electric mechanic.

John was born July 12, 1931 in Octavia, Okla., the son of Jim “J.W.” and Lela (Blanton) Logan. He lived in the Hugo community most of his life. He married Wanda on April 27, 1959 in DeQueen, Ark. John enjoyed fishing, hunting and enjoyed his gardening, especially his tomatoes. He had some of the prettiest roses in Southeast Oklahoma. He would take rose petals to Pinson’s restaurant and place the petals on each table. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters; Beulah Hogan and Mamie Logan, three brothers; Lester, Homer and Dale Logan.

SURVIVING RELATIVES: his loving wife of 46 years; Wanda Logan, two daughters; Teri Rosenthal and her husband Rocky of Antlers, Okla., Geri Russell and her husband Mike of Fort Worth, Texas, one son; Johnny Ray Logan of Sawyer, Okla., one granddaughter; Kelly Goulding and her husband Shawn of Cleburne, Texas, three great grandchildren; twins; Alex and Austin Goulding and Gage Logan Goulding to be born in April of 2006, four sisters; Carrie Crane, Delphia Coker both of Hugo, Okla., Bessie Stewart of Oklahoma City, Okla. and Naomi Wood of Stockton, Calif. along with a host of family and friends.

Family received friends Tuesday November 8, 2005 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
