FERN AINSWORTH

Services for Fern Lee Ainsworth will be Thursday, March 6, 2003 at 11 a.m. in the Jesus Name Church in Boswell.

Mrs. Ainsworth died Monday, March 3, 2003 in Boswell. She was 95.

Fern Lee was born July 15, 1907 in Little Rock, Ark. to Arthur and Elmire (Chrisenberry) Whisenant. She married C.S. “Peanut” Ainsworth in Hugo, Okla., on March 2, 1929. Fern was a homemaker and had lived in the Boswell community most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two sons: Jimmy Ainsworth and Jerry Ainsworth; one daughter, Ruth Ainsworth and one grandson, Mark Ainsworth.

She is survived by three sons: Billy Ainsworth, Grand Prairie, Texas, Dub Ainsworth of Dora, Ala., and Ronald Ainsworth, Hugo, Okla.; two daughters: Marie Cox of Hugo, Okla., and Wanda Widdifield, Lafayette, La.; one brother, Willard Whisenant, Amarillo, Texas; 20 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday, March 5, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel in Boswell where Ms. Ainsworth will lie in state.

Rev. R.H. Breese and Rev. Ron Pickard will officiate the services and burial will follow in Restland Cemetery of Boswell.

Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home is directing the services.
