Services for Brenda Pearl Ashton, of Irving, Texas, were Feb. 15, 2003 at Life Tabernacle Church of Unger. The Rev. Bucky Ensey officiated the ceremony. Pallbearers were Carl Moore, Michael Fryer, Paul Scott, Dub Mock, Tony Jenkins and Tommy Yates.

Brenda Pearl Ashton departed this life Feb. 12, 2003 in Irving, Texas after a long battle with cancer. She was 43.

Brenda Pearl Ashton was born Feb. 15, 1959 in Tularosa, N.M. She was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan who never met a stranger and always made you laugh. She will be sorely missed by all because of her charming personality and zest for life.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Retha Philpot and her brother, Jimmy Philpot.

She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and John Vria of Irving, Texas; one sister, Traci Parks of McAlester; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and many, many friends in the Boswell area along with two dogs and Beanie Babies.

Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.
