Services for Mary Lorena Bateman, of Pawhuska, were at 10 a.m. Feb. 21, 2003 at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel in Hugo. Interment followed at Shoat Springs Cemetery.

Mary Bateman, formerly of Hugo, died Feb. 17, 2003 in Pawhuska. She was 95.

Mary Bateman was born May 31, 1907 in Hope, Ark. to John Henry and Indiana (Ellen) Cunningham. She married Willard T. “Snuffy” Bateman Dec. 11, 1923 in Hope, Ark.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four brothers and one sister.

She is survived by one son, Willard T. “Buddy” Bateman, Jr. of Granger, Ind. and one daughter, Ruth Dollar of Las Vegas, Nev.; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.
