Altie Bell Clem

Services for Altie Bell Clem, of Hugo, were at 11 a.m. Feb. 18, 2003 at Mt. Olive Funeral Home Chapel. The Rev. Hershel Reed officiated the ceremony. Interment followed at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo.

Altie Bell Clem died Feb. 14, 2003 at Choctaw Memorial Hospital in Hugo. She was 86.

Altie Bell Clem was born May 10, 1916 to James & Dealie (Rowell) Stewart. She married Duane Clem Jan. 9, 1954 in Hugo.

She was preceded in death by her husband in 1998; three brothers, Monroe, Obie Gene and Ervin Stewart; four sisters, Goldie Burks, Gladys Smith, Evie Roper and Lillie Stewart.

She is survived by two sons, Billey Franklin of Hugo and R.V. Franklin of Mason, Ohio; one daugher, Wanda Moats of Ocean Springs, Miss.; one brother, Wilson Stewart of Lubbock, Texas; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.

Mt. Olive Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.
