Newton Cook

Funeral services for Newton Cook, formerly of Cooksville, were at noon Sept. 21 at the Rogan Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo. The Rev. J.S. Warren officiated. Internment will follow at the Speer Cemetery.

Newton Cook died Sept. 15, 2002 in Paris, Texas. He was 80.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Cook of Hugo; two sons, Newton Cook, Jr. of Cooksville and James Cook of Oklahoma City; five daughters, Margeret Weatherall of Des Moines, Iowa, Dorothy Henderson and Johnnie Ruth Brown of Hugo, Loretta Cooper and Darlene Cook of Oklahoma City; one sister, Rosie Marie Bostic of Oklahoma City; 14 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild and a host of nieces and nephews.

The Rogan Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.
