Services for Sam W. Davis, of Fort Towson, were at 2 p.m. Jan. 20, 2003. Internment followed at the Fort Towson Cemetery.

Sam W. Davis died Jan. 17, 2003 in Fort Towson. He was 69.

Sam Davis was born Jan. 12, 1934 in Fort Towson to Pete and Hazel (Kelly) Davis. He married Violet Everett Jan. 31, 1957 in Granbury, Texas.

He is survived by his wife, Violet, of Fort Towson; two sons, Charles Davis of Fort Towson and Danny Davis of Dallas; one daughter, Rachel Caraway of Fort Towson; two brothers, Bob Davis of Orlando, Fla. and Cotton Davis of Fort Towson; one sister, Lucy Murchison of Castro Valley, Calif.; two grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.
