Leland Downing

Services for Leland Downing, of Hugo, were at 10 a.m. Jan. 21, 2003 at the Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo. Jimmy Howell officiated the ceremony. Interment followed at the Springs Chapel Cemetery in Hugo.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 20, 2003 at the Miller & Miller funeral Home in Hugo.

Leland Downing died Jan. 19, 2003 at Choctaw Memorial Hospital in Hugo. He was 69.

Leland Downing was born May 8, 1933 in Johnson County, Mo. to Russell Downing and Ruth (Shackleford) Downing.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma Welch, one son, one brother and one sister.

The Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.
