Loyal W. Farmer

Graveside services for Loyal W. Farmer, of Hugo, were at 2 p.m. Jan. 21, 2003 at the Grant Cemetery in Grant.

The family received friends from 5-6 p.m. Jan. 20, 2003 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel in Hugo.

Loyal Farmer died Jan. 19, 2003 in Paris, Texas. He was 84.

Loyal Farmer was born Nov. 7, 1918 in Belk, Texas to George and Lillie (Smith) Farmer. He married Ruth Stevens in 1947.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth; one grandson, Dewayne Chambers; one brother, Cleon Farmer and one sister, Georgie Dixon.

He is survived by his three sons, George Farmer of Sawyer, L.W. Farmer of Oklahoma City and Donnie Farmer of Tulsa; two daughters, Mable Chambers and Loyal Estean Howser, both of Hugo; ten grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.
