Services for Getsie L. Freeman of Paris, Texas were at 2 p.m. Sept. 25 at the Spencerville Community Church. The Rev. Zelpha Boyd officiated the ceremony. Internment followed at the Spencerville Cemetery in Spencerville.

The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Sept. 24 at the Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel in Hugo.

Getsie L. Freeman died Sept. 21, 2002 in Paris, Texas. She was 92.

Getsie L. Freeman was born April 10, 1910 in Midway, Texas to Jess and Dorah Rachael (Wilson) Biffel. She married Elsworth Freeman May 20, 1933 in Spencerville.

Getsie was preceded in death by her husband, one son, Elmer Freeman, five grandsons and one great-grandson.

She is survived by four daughters, Pearl Baskin of Ft. Towson, Delores Hinsley of Soper, Nell Corbett of Snellville, Ga. and Mary Lester of Paris, Texas; 15 grandchildren, 33 great-grandchildren and 11 great-great-grandchildren.

Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home handled the arrangements.
