Warren “Buddy” Salyer

Services for Warren “Buddy” Salyer, of Shidler, were at 2 p.m. Jan. 14, 2003 at the First Christian Church in Shidler. The Rev. Manny Loveall officiated the ceremony. Internment followed at the Fairfax Cemetery.

Warren Salyer died Jan. 11, 2003 in Shidler. He was 88.

Warren Salyer was born July 8, 1914 in Hoffman to Thomas Salyer and Cora (Donnier) Salyer. He married Etla Harbeson Nov. 29, 1935 in Pawhuska.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Roscoe, Vernie, Carl, John and Bill; and three sisters, Eva, Gertrude and Elsie.

He is survived by his wife, Etla, of Shidler; two sons, Buddy Salyer of Shidler and Larry Salyer of Hugo; one daughter, Karren Golay of Shidler; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

The Grace Memorial Chapel in Ponca City handled the funeral arrangements.
