Hazel Tyler

Services for Hazel Tyler, of Millerton, were at 10 a.m. Jan. 13, 2003 at the Spirit Rock Church in Millerton. Brother Troy Ruffin officiated the ceremony. Internment followed at the Wheelock Cemetery.
Hazel Tyler died Jan. 11, 2003 in Hugo. She was 87.
Hazel Tyler was born Sept. 27, 1915 in Pittsburg County to J.W. and Rachel Irene Furr Rush.
Hazel was a homemaker and had lived in the Millerton area for 68 years, moving from Colorado. She was a faithful member of the Spirit Rock Church in Millerton and a dedicated volunteer and devoted supporter of the Valliant Nutrition Center and loved spending time with her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, William Franklin Tyler, Sr., in 1981; one sister, Della Lois Dodd; one brother, Jeff Rush; and her best friend, Margaret White in 2002.
She leaves to cherish her memory her son and daughter-in-law, Bill and Jodi Tyler of Valliant; her daughter and son-in-law Katherine and Charles Coker of Hugo; three grandchildren Vicki Tyler of Liberty, Texas, Terri Hathcock of Kileen, Ala. and William Franklin Tyler III of Benbrook, Texas; two sisters, Collene Wyatt of Millerton and Josie Mustain of Emmett, Idaho; four great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews and a host of friends.
Norwood-Coffey-Leonard Funeral Home in Idabel handled the funeral arrangements.
