Services for Dan Webster, of Sawyer, were at 2 p.m. Jan. 23, 2003 at the Miller & Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Hugo. Mickey Kelley officiated the ceremony. Interment will follow at the Sawyer Cemetery.
The family received friends from 6-8 p.m. Jan. 22, 2003 at Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo.
Dan Webster died Jan. 20, 2003 at Choctaw Memorial Hospital in Hugo. He was 73.
Webster, a U.S. Army veteran in the Korean War, was born Dec. 25, 1929 in Hugo to Samuel Webster and Nora (Makintubbe) Webster. A retired truck driver, he lived all of his life in Hugo. He married Anita Nelson March 16, 1956 in Hugo. Dan, who was a member of the Sawyer Full Gospel Church, loved cattle and horses. He broke horses as a hobby.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Flora Sanders.
He is survived by his wife, Anita; two sons, Daniel Wayne Webster of Powderly, Texas and Charles Glen Webster of Springfield, Mo.; three daughters, Barbara Ford of Springfield, Mo., Tisha Pettyjohn of Fort Towson and Gail Rose of Denison, Texas; 15 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Miller & Miller Funeral Home in Hugo handled the funeral arrangements.
