    Funeral services for Joe Tom Beauchamp of Sumner, Texas, formerly of Hugo, were held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 11, 2004, at Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Chapel. A graveside service was held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2004 at Eden City Cemetery in Eden, Texas, with Brother Haskell England officiating.
    Mr. Beauchamp died Friday, July 9, 2004, in Sumner, Texas. He was 82.
    Joe Tom was born on September 4, 1921 in Menard, Texas, to Newt and Tommie (Clendenen) Beauchamp. He married Nina Lee Cox in San Angelo, Texas on June 8, 1940. He moved from Eden, Texas, to Hugo, Okla., where he had lived for twenty-five years before moving to Sumner, Texas. Joe Tom was a self-employed rancher and was a member of the 4th and Jackson Street Church of Christ where he served as an elder for many years. He will truly be missed by all that knew & loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Newt and Tommie Beauchamp and one daughter, Becky Fortson.
    He is survived by his wife, Nina of the home; one daughter, Patsy Atnip and husband Robert of Sumner, Texas; nine grandchildren, Wayne Carter & wife Susan, Stephanie Carter Armstrong and her fiance Roger Bryan, Sheradon Carter and wife Angie, Brittany Carter and wife Crystal, Konika Carter, Brent Fortson, Kacy Fortson, Phillip Carter and Tyler Carter; six great-grandchildren, Morgan Carter, Chancey Armstrong Stevens and her husband Chris, Elissa Armstrong, Kristi Carter Hall, Amanda Carter and Logan Carter; four great-great-grandchildren, Cayla Stevens, Dalyn Johnson, Payton Hall and Jaycie Hall.
    Services are under the direction of Prater-Lampton-Mills & Coffey Funeral Home. Paid announcement.
