    E.M. Kitchen well know business man and farmer, died at his home a few miles north of the city Tuesday morning as a result of a stroke of paralysis last Saturday. He leaves a wife and several children. For a long time Mr. Kitchen was in business at Speer but afterwards moved to a farm north of Hugo where he made a crop this year. The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon. He was about 50 years of age and was well known in Hugo.
