Elsie Middleton

    Elsie Middleton, 69, of Paris, Texas, passed away Sunday, January 2, 2005 at Choctaw Memorial Hospital in Hugo, Oklahoma, at which time Bright-Holland Funeral Home received her into their care. Funeral services were scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, January 5, 2005 at the funeral home with Dr. Wilbur Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Grant Cemetery in Grant, Oklahoma. The family received friends from 7-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. Mrs. Middleton was born on September 19, 1935 to Sherman and Norene Gray Campbell in Memphis, Texas. She married Frank Middleton on October 23, 1957 in Hugo. She was a member of Ramseur Baptist Church and was a dietician in the health care industry. She loved being with her family and friends, planting roses, and collecting salt and pepper shakers. She is survived by her husband, Frank; sons Larry and wife Joyce, of Hugo, Oklahoma; Guy and wife Penny, of Hugo, Oklahoma; Frank Jr. and wife Sharon, of Bonham, Texas; daughter Patricia Wortham and husband, Rick of Mesquite, Texas; five grandchildren, Shane and Chad Middleton, Derek and Shae Wortham and Nikki Hutchings. She is also survived by sisters, Eva Graham of Austin, Texas, Edith Backman of Las Vegas, Nevada, Jean Knox and husband Joe of Roland, Oklahoma; Margaret Cowley and husband Mack, of Anna, Texas; one brother, Sherman Campbell and wife Sandra of Hugo, Oklahoma; along with numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one daughter, Diane Hutchings. Paid announcement.
