Delsie Nelson Warren

    Funeral services for Delsie Nelson Warren of Soper were held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, January 12, 2005, at Soper First Baptist Church with Rev. Greg Hammack officiating, assisted by Rev. Randell Scott. Interment was in Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Hugo.
    Mrs. Warren died Sunday, January 9, 2005, in Paris, Texas. She was 77.
    Delsie Jane Wortham was born on November 16, 1927 in Idabel, to Elbert Wiley and Willa Mae (Shankles) Wortham. Delsie married Joe Nelson, who preceded her in death. She then married Orville Warren on February 18, 1977 in Hugo. Delsie was a member of the Soper First Baptist Church. She worked for the Citizens State Bank as a bookkeeper in Hugo for many years. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Willa Mae Tapley and Juanita Hollaway; and one son, Jim Warren. She is survived by one son, Bill Warren of Ft. Towson; three daughters, Cleda Brownfield and Joann McAllister both of Paris, Texas, and Yolanda Bonds of Soper; one brother Delbert (Pap) Wortham of Idabel; one sister Virginia Blackstock of Houston, Texas; 13 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
